Epson Stylus SX200
Cheap multifunction printers are great until you have to buy replacement printer ink cartridges for them. The latest offer from Epson the Stylus SX200 is the same, it’s cheap to buy but the Epson ink cartridges are not so cheap. Luckily there are cheaper Epson SX200 ink cartridges available in the form of compatible ink cartridges which cost half the price of the originals. The device itself is very compact, so much so that it doesn’t take up much more room on a desk than a standard inkjet printer. The materials used in it construction are good quality and feel solid and the design is modern but conservative so should fit in with most environments. The SX200 has an impressive spec sheet considering it a budget printer, features include high 5760 x 1440dpi print resolution, A4 scanning and copying as well as direct photo printing from memory cards and digital cameras. All of these features it does to a high standard but some better than others, printing speed is not one the SX200 strongest points, Epson claim a maximum speed of 34ppm (which is amazingly fast for a inkjet printer) but in the real world the SX200 is only capable of 4ppm in a reasonable quality setting with a good amount of text on each page. The Epson SX200’s strongest point is probably its print quality, it amazingly good for all types of documents and goes beyond the exceptions of a budget printer.
